Bret Hankey is the Vice President of Originations, responsible for
overseeing the underwriting department, verification department
and boarding/data entry.

Mr. Hankey graduated from the University of Southern California
(Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and Finance
with an emphasis in Real Estate) in 2000. He later completed
the General Dealership Management program from the National
Automobile Dealers Association in 2005 in McLean, VA.

Upon graduating from U.S.C, he joined the Hankey Group
and began his career in the automotive industry and has
remained there for the past seven years. His first role
within the Hankey Group was working at Daewoo and
Suzuki of Los Angeles where he held the positions
of sales person, sales manager, fleet manager, used
car manager, and operations manager from 2001
until 2003. He then joined Midway Ford as the
general sales manager in 2003. Mr. Hankey was
promoted to general manager of Midway Ford
and Suzuki of Los Angeles in 2005 and served
there until 2007. During his time at Midway Ford
and Suzuki of Los Angeles, his duties included overseeing more than 100 employees with a primary objective of gaining market share and providing excellent customer service to their customers.

Mr. Hankey’s purpose for joining the Westlake management team is to continue the company’s advance as one of the leaders in the auto-financing industry. He believes this will be accomplished by “empowering people, increasing efficiencies, lowering origination costs, teamwork, and most importantly, having fun while we are working.”
