Stephanie Karafilis is Vice President of Legal and Corporate
Counsel. She joined Westlake in August 2005. Ms. Karafilis
oversees all aspects of compliance, including FDCPA, FCRA,
and GLBA. She also advises senior management and the
board of directors on employment, litigation, legal and
corporate matters. Additionally, she responds to all
regulatory and customer complaints, intervenes in
customer conflicts to prevent lawsuits, and initiates
consumer litigation against defaulting customers.

Ms. Karafilis received her bachelor’s degree in Psychology
and Sociology from Tulane University in New Orleans,
Louisiana. She received her Juris Doctorate from Loyola
Law School.
